Root Canal

Root Canal

Root canal treatment is a procedure used to save a tooth that is infected or severely damaged, helping avoid the need for extraction. It is often needed when deep decay or injury reaches the inner pulp (nerve) of the tooth, causing infection.

Common symptoms may include sensitivity to hot or cold, pain when chewing, swelling, or a persistent bad taste. In some cases, there may be no noticeable symptoms until the problem is found during an exam.

During treatment, the infected tissue is removed, and the inside of the tooth is thoroughly cleaned and sealed to prevent further infection. A crown is usually recommended afterward to protect and restore the strength of the tooth.

Root canal treatment is a reliable way to relieve pain, eliminate infection, and preserve your natural tooth.
